Name: Alan White Grandparent of: Addilyn White, Upper Primary Branch of Service: Army National Guard Service Dates: November 1982 to May 2005 Just a little bio in case it is helpful: My Grandfather, Alan White, spent 23 years with the Oklahoma National Guard (ONG). He enlisted in April, 1969, during the Vietnam War. Basic training was at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, with the 101st Airborne Battalion. He then went to Advanced Infantry Training at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma and was trained as a counter artillery radar operator. After completing 6 months of combat training, he returned to his assigned combat support group in Guthrie, Oklahoma. He spent the following 6 years there attaining the rank of Staff Seargent. He was discharged in 1976. In 1982, he was recruited back into the ONG.
